Raw Writers Workshop Course (Tuesdays)(Exeter Phoenix)

Would you like to be in a small and supportive group where you can receive feedback on your written work and learn how to give feedback to others?

In the Raw Writers Workshop Course, you can do just that.
Each week, two people will have up to 2500 words of their work in progress critiqued by the others on the course. So with eight participants, you will have your writing critiqued twice over the course.
The group will spend 45 minutes discussing each of the two submissions and then hand over their written comments to the writer.

We have created easy-to-use templates focused around the fundamentals of storytelling (characterisation, dialogue, setting, etc.). If you already feel comfortable sharing written feedback, you are welcome to do so in a way that suits you, supported by an instructor at every step of the process.

Often, we allow our writing to become a sacrifice to life’s seemingly never-ending priorities. Attending a Raw Writers Workshop course helps to hold us accountable.

No matter what sort of book you are writing, readers bring with them expectations about what constitutes a ‘good’ story. Whether you’re writing fiction, memoir, (or a blend of the two!) readers expect a clear narrative arc, with a rise and fall of action and tension, focused on an engaging protagonist who drives the plot forward.

Whichever you have chosen, the writer’s workshop programme is designed to help you write the story you want to tell as efficiently and effectively as possible.
